1 Scope

This standard specifies the tensile strength of the V-belt and V-ribbed belt, reference force elongation and test methods for the elongation at break.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Tensile strength

When full section tensile test specimens, the force required to pull off the sample.

4.1 tensile testing machine

Tensile testing machine shall comply with GB/T 17200 and comply with the following requirements.

a) Minimum tension. 20kN;

b) Accuracy. When reading or recording tension value, the error is not greater than 2%;

c) Range. the force required to pull off the specimen shall not be less than 15% of the range, the range of not more than 85%;

d) the moving speed of the holder. (50 ± 5) mm/min;

e) for the recording instrument fitted between the elongation of the belt and pull curve.

4.2 Test pulley

For annular test specimens, the length is greater than 600mm, the use of two flat pulley diameter of 95.5mm; length of 400mm ~

600mm, the use of two 75mm diameter flat pulley. At least flat pulley width wider than the width of the sample to be tested 5mm, flat pulleys table
