Scope
GB/T 36556-2018 is the English-translated version of 扫描图像元级联防伪技术条件.
GB/T 36556-2018 sets the technical requirements for cascaded image element scanning, an anti-counterfeiting technology in which optically readable dot-matrix patterns, called image elements, store anti-counterfeiting information and are combined in cascades to enlarge their coding capacity.
It covers the classification and principle of the technology, including the structure of image elements, the composition of the scanning system and the linkage between cascaded elements and a clear code, and it grades the anti-counterfeiting performance of the elements, of the generation software and of the decryption software.
Requirements and test methods deal with the dot specification, the identification area, hardware, printing control software, printing and data exchange between reader and server, and a test report and rating format close the document. It was issued on 13 July 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
1 Scope
This standard specifies the classification, principle, classification, requirements, test methods, test reports and grades of the scanning image element cascade anti-counterfeiting technology. Rating format.
This standard applies to the generation and identification of image meta-level anti-counterfeiting technology products.

3 Terms and definitions
The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 17004-1997 and GB/T 19425-2003 apply to this document.
3.1 Dot
The point that constitutes the smallest unit of the image element.
3.2 Dot matrix
According to the pattern formed by the two-dimensional pixels of a specific combination, a set of coordinate systems can be used to describe an array of a certain set of specific points. To, the smallest unit that constitutes an image element.
3.3 Image element
A general term for an optically readable dot matrix pattern consisting of a series of lattices, having a logical relationship, and storing anti-counterfeiting information.
3.4 Cascaded image element
Combining two or more image elements in a specific manner with a single image element as a minimum unit, the image elements within the combination are only adjacent thereto The image elements match each other. A new information coding mode is formed, which expands the number of image element combinations and the anti-counterfeiting information storage capacity.
3.5 Recognition of (cascaded) image element
The image element is captured by the scanning image element fast machine-readable discriminator (hereinafter referred to as the discriminator), and then the decoding operation is performed.
