Scope

GB/T 35880-2018 is the English-translated version of 银耳菌种质量检验规程.

GB/T 35880-2018 sets out the Chinese national procedure for checking the quality of Tremella fuciformis (white jelly fungus) spawn. It covers the terms and definitions, sampling, the inspection items and methods, the quality requirements and the rules for judging the result.

Its definitions describe tremella spawn as a mixed culture of tremella mycelium and its companion mycelium, and distinguish the parent (first-generation) stock culture, the mother spawn and the cultivation spawn, as well as the authenticity of a spawn that must contain both mycelia.

It builds on the production specification of GB/T 29368 and refers to high-throughput gene sequencing and to the NY/T 1284 examination of bacteria and pests in edible fungus strains.

It is used by spawn producers and testing bodies. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 September 2018.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions for quality inspection of Tremella fuciformis, sampling, inspection contents and methods, quality requirements, and determination rules.

This standard applies to the quality of Tremella species test.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions as defined in GB/T 29368 apply to this document. For ease of use, the following repeatedly listed GB/T 29368 Some of the terms and definitions.

3.1 Tremella culture

A mixed culture of robust white mycelium and ash mycelium grown on suitable substrates.

Note: Includes Tremella parent, Tremella species, and Tremella species.

3.2 Stock culture of tremella

A mixed culture of viable mycelium and mycelium of mycelia obtained by mixed culture or intra-basic isolation.

Note 1. Rewrite GB/T 29368-2012, definition 3.10.

Note 2. Also known as the first species of Tremella.

3.3 Mother spawn of tremella

Cultured and transplanted from Tremella parent species.

Note: also known as Tremella secondary species.

3.4 Spawn of tremella

Cultured from a tremella seed that has been transplanted and propagated.

Note: also known as Tremella tertiary species.

3.5 Authenticity of tremella spawn

At the same time contains tremella mycelium and incense mycelium strains.
