Scope
GB/T 35840.1-2018 is the English-translated version of 塑料模具钢 第1部分:非合金钢.
GB/T 35840.1-2018 is Part 1 of the Chinese national standard on steels for plastic moulds and deals with the non-alloy grades. It applies to hot-rolled or forged non-alloy round, square and flat steel and to steel plates and sheets used to make plastic moulds.
It specifies the ordering content, dimensions, shape and weight, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, and packaging, marking and the quality certificate.
The tests include chemical analysis, with the GB/T 223 methods for arbitration, macrostructure, non-metallic inclusions by method A of GB/T 10561-2005, dimensions, shape and surface quality, and the steel is accepted by batch.
Annex A cross-references the designations with similar domestic and foreign grades. It was issued on 6 February 2018 and has applied since 1 November 2018.
