Scope
GB/T 35840.3-2018 is the English-translated version of 塑料模具钢 第3部分:耐腐蚀钢.
GB/T 35840.3-2018 is the part of the plastic mould steel standard that deals with corrosion resistant steels. It applies to round, square and flat steel bars delivered hot rolled, forged or machined for making plastic moulds.
The steels are classed by use and processing as steel for pressure work, hot or cold, and steel for cutting work.
The standard sets out what an order must state, the dimensions, appearance and weight by reference to GB/T 1299-2014, the technical requirements, the test methods and the inspection rules, with batch composition, sampling size and position, re-inspection under GB/T 17505 and rounding of values under GB/T 8170.
Packaging, marking and certification follow GB/T 2101. It was issued on 14 May 2018 and has applied since 1 February 2019.
