Scope
GB/T 35275-2026 is the English-translated version of 网络安全技术 SM2密码算法加密签名消息格式.
GB/T 35275-2026 is the Chinese national standard for the message format that carries the results of SM2 encryption and signature operations.
Everything is built on the ContentInfo type, and the standard gives the object identifiers of eight data types - Data, SignedData, EnvelopedData, SignedAndEnvelopedData, EncryptedData, KeyAgreementInfo, DigestedData and AuthEnvelopedData - then specifies the basic types they use: certificate revocation lists, the content encryption, digest, signature and key encryption algorithm identifiers, certificates, issuer and serial number, version and attribute.
SM3 is the digest algorithm and SM2 the signature algorithm, certificates follow the GB/T 20518-2018 format, and Appendix A gives worked examples of the signed, enveloped, digested, encrypted and authenticated-envelope types.
It replaces GB/T 35275-2017, was issued on 30 April 2026 and applies from 1 November 2026.

1 Scope
This document specifies the message format for the SM2 cryptographic algorithm in cryptographic signatures.
This document is applicable to encapsulating the results of cryptographic signature operations using the SM2 cryptographic algorithm.
4 Abbreviations
The following abbreviations apply to this document. OID. Object Identifier
5 Overview
The ContentInfo type is used to represent the general syntax structure for content exchange, and its definition is as follows. contentType ContentType, content [0]EXPLICITANYDEFINEDBYcontentTypeOPTIONAL ContentType::=OBJECTIDENTIFIER in. contentType indicates the type of content.
The content is optional, and its content type is indicated by contentType.
The ContentInfo object is used to represent the eight data types involved in the SM2 cryptographic algorithm's encrypted signature. Data, SignedData,... EnvelopedData,SignedAndEnvelopedData,EncryptedData,KeyAgreementInfo,DigestedData and The identifier for AuthEnvelopedData is defined. Its object identifier is shown in Table 1. Chapter 6 of this document specifies the above eight types. The basic type definitions used.
6 Basic Type Definitions
6.1 Certificate Revocation Lists
The CertificateRevocationLists type indicates a collection of certificate revocation lists. CertificateRevocationLists::=SETOFCertificateRevocationList
6.2 Content Encryption Algorithm Identifier
The ContentEncryptionAlgorithmIdentifier type specifies a data encryption algorithm. Its OID should conform to GB/T 33560. According to the regulations.
ContentEncryptionAlgorithmIdentifier::= AlgorithmIdentifier The AlgorithmIdentifier shall comply with the provisions of 5.2.2 in GB/T 20518-2018.
6.3 DigestAlgorithmIdentifier
The `DigestAlgorithmIdentifier` type indicates a message digest algorithm; this file specifies the SM3 cryptographic algorithm.
It should comply with the provisions of GB/T 32905, and its OID should comply with the provisions of GB/T 33560. DigestAlgorithmIdentifier::= AlgorithmIdentifier
6.4 SignatureAlgorithmIdentifier
The `SignatureAlgorithmIdentifier` type indicates a signature algorithm; this file uses the SM2 signature algorithm. The SM2 cryptographic algorithm should... It shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 32918 (all parts), and its OID shall comply with the requirements of GB/T 33560. SignatureAlgorithmIdentifier::= AlgorithmIdentifier
6.5 Digital Certificate
The Certificate type specifies a certificate conforming to the GB/T 20518-2018 format. It indicates that the set is sufficient to contain identifiable certificates.
The certificate chain from the "root" or "top-level CA" to all signers. Certificates::=SETOFCertificate
6.6 Issuer and Serial Number
The IssuerAndSerialNumber type indicates a certificate issuer-identifiable name and a certificate serial number determined by the issuer, which can be used to... Identify a certificate and the entity and public key corresponding to that certificate.
IssuerAndSerialNumber::=SEQUENCE{ issuerName, serialNumberCertificateSerialNumber The CertificateSerialNumber shall comply with the provisions of 5.2.2 in GB/T 20518-2018.
6.7 KeyEncryptionAlgorithmIdentifier
The KeyEncryptionAlgorithmIdentifier type specifies the encryption algorithm used to encrypt the symmetric key.
KeyEncryptionAlgorithmIdentifier::= AlgorithmIdentifier Version 6.8 The Version type indicates the syntax version number. Version. INTEGER
6.9 Attribute
The Attribute type identifies a specific type of information, and its structure is defined as follows. Attribute...=SEQUENCE{ attrType OBJECTIDENTIFIER, attrValues SETOFAttributeValue AttributeValue..ANY in.
The attrType content type is an OID. attrValues is a collection of attribute values.
7 Data Types
The Data data structure is defined as follows. Data. OCTETSTRING Data represents any string of bytes.
The `signedData` data type consists of data of any type and a signature value from at least one signer. Data of any type can be simultaneously... It can be signed by any number of signers. See Appendix A, section A.1 for examples of signature data types.
The envelopedData data type of a digital envelope consists of encrypted data and ciphertext containing the encryption key of at least one recipient.
In this context, encrypted data is encrypted using a data encryption key, which in turn is encrypted using the recipient's public key.
See A.2 for an example of a digital envelope data type.
The DigestedData data type consists of data of any type and a message digest of it. See A.3 for an example of the DigestedData data type.
The EncryptedData data type consists of encrypted data of any type; this data type has neither a receiver nor encryption capability.
Data encryption key. See A.4 for an example of encrypted data types.
The AuthEnvelopedData data type consists of ciphertext containing authentication digital envelope data and at least one recipient's authentication digital envelope key.
Composition. The authEnvelopedData data type provides both confidentiality and integrity; see A.5 for an example of identifying the digital envelope data type.
