1 Scope

GB/T 44784-2024 specifies the format of the Chinese electronic business licence. The electronic licence is not a scan of the paper one: it is a signed data object that a bank, a tax office or a counterparty verifies cryptographically, and it is now the ordinary way a Chinese enterprise proves its own existence online, which makes the exact composition of the document a matter of national infrastructure. The standard sets the composition of the electronic business licence document and its requirements, the recorded information for each type of registrant - companies, non-corporate enterprises and farmers' cooperatives, partnerships, sole proprietorships, individual businesses, branches, and the resident representative offices of foreign enterprises - and the filed information, then the format of the licence itself, its basic requirements, its layout and its display and printing. It takes effect on 1 February 2025.

This document specifies the file composition and format of the electronic business license. This document is applicable to the processing of the electronic business license format to ensure the consistency of the electronic business license display style.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

4 Composition of electronic business license documents

4.1 Composition and requirements Electronic business license documents should meet the following requirements.

a) Contains data items of the face-to-face information and annotated parts of the electronic business license that comply with the requirements of GB/T 44785;

b) One file only contains information about one electronic business license;

c) Contains digital signature information that complies with the requirements of GB/T 35275.
