GB/T 34236-2017 is the English-translated version of 二氧化碳制甲醇技术导则.

GB/T 34236-2017 sets out technical guidelines for the production of methanol from carbon dioxide, specifying the general requirements for the plant, the process design, the process equipment and materials, the main ancillary works, the inspection item that the draft garbles as "inspection Collection", operation and maintenance, and the packaging, storage and transportation of the product.

Clause 1 states that it applies to newly built, expanded and reconstructed carbon dioxide methanol plants.

Clause 3 defines a single term, methanol production, as obtaining methanol by the catalytic reaction of carbon dioxide with hydrogen under certain pressure and temperature conditions.

The draft ends at that definition and prints no table of contents, so the division of the standard is known only from the list in clause 1. The foreword says the standard was proposed by the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation and is held by the National Gas Standardization Technical Committee (SAC/TC206).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for the production of carbon dioxide methanol plant, process design, process equipment and materials, the main ancillary works, inspection Collection, operation and maintenance, product packaging, storage and transportation.

This standard applies to new construction, expansion and reconstruction of carbon dioxide methanol plant.
