1 Scope

This document specifies the general requirements and principles, technical requirements, daily management, and health aspects of water-saving technologies for open-type indirect circulating cooling water systems.

The health, safety, and environmental protection requirements are described, along with the corresponding verification methods.

This document applies to water conservation and emission reduction efforts that utilize conventional water sources such as surface water and groundwater, as well as unconventional water sources such as desalinated seawater and reclaimed water.
