GB/T 23838-2009 is the English-translated version of 工业循环冷却水中悬浮固体的测定.

GB/T 23838-2009 — This standard specifies the determination party through a glass fiber filter paper or G4 crucible filter raw water, waste water and sewage suspended solids Method, the lowest detection limit of this method is about 2mg/L, this method is not the determination of the predetermined limit.

Note 1. The content of suspended solids and the storage time, mode of transportation, pH value and other factors. The test report shall indicate the case of the sample.

Oil slicks and other immiscible organic liquids may cause interference (see Appendix A). When the dissolved solids in the sample is greater than 1000mg/L require special treatment (see 8.5).

Note 2. should indicate the type of filter. Note 3. The water samples of different particle size distribution vary greatly, therefore, the results of the use of different pore size filter paper or filter has no relevance.

Using different the results of the model or paper filter can not be obtained in terms of each other.
