Scope

GB/T 30684-2014 is the English-translated version of 高尔夫球场节水技术规范.

GB/T 30684-2014 is the technical specification for saving water on a golf course.

Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the relevant terms and definitions, the water use and design requirements, and the technical and administrative requirements for irrigation, and that it applies to the design of golf course water-saving facilities and to water management.

Clause 3 takes terms from GB/T 21534 and GB/T 50363 and adds its own, defining the golf course as a place for playing golf that needs irrigation, pruning and lawn conservation measures, and covering the standard golf course, the non-standard golf course and the driving range.

The standard golf course is defined as a scored 9-hole or 18-hole course of traditional length, a 9-hole course being at least 2600 yards long with a par of not less than 33 and an 18-hole course at least 5200 yards long with a par of not less than 66.

A third definition covers the different functional areas, the regions laid out to meet the requirements of play, named as tees, fairways, greens, roughs and the natural area, each with its own quality standard, conservation needs and irrigation needs.

Clause 2 cites thirteen documents, among them GB 5084 on irrigation water quality, GB/T 17187 on emitters and emitting pipe, GB/T 18870 on water-saving products, GB/T 18920 and GB/T 25499 on recycled water for urban miscellaneous use and for irrigating urban green space, GB 24789 on water measuring instruments, GB/T 50085, GB/T 50363 and GB/T 50485 on irrigation engineering, water-saving irrigation and micro-irrigation projects, and SL 13, SL 236 and SL 267.

It was proposed by the Ministry of Water Resources and the National Water Conservation Office and is administered by the national water-saving industry standardization technical committee (SAC/TC442).

The draft breaks off inside clause 3, so the design and management requirements themselves are not shown. It has applied since 1 July 2015.

3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 21534, GB/T 50363 and defined by the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Golf course

In place of golf on the need for irrigation, pruning lawn conservation measures, including the golf course, nonstandard Golf and driving range.

3.2 Standard golf course
