GB/T 28746-2012 is the English-translated version of 家用太阳能热水系统储水箱技术要求.

GB/T 28746-2012 is the specification for the storage tank of a domestic solar water heating system.

Clause 1 states that the standard specifies the terms and definitions, the classification and marking, the technical requirements, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transportation and storage of the tank, and that it applies to the tank of a domestic solar hot water system with a water capacity of not more than 0.6 m3; no other restriction is stated in that clause.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 191, GB/T 1720, GB 3100, GB/T 3280, GB 4706.1, GB/T 12936, GB/T 13384, GB/T 18708, GB/T 19141, GB/T 23889, GB/T 28745, QB/T 2590 and ISO 9488-1999.

Clause 3 takes the terms of GB 3100, GB/T 12936, GB/T 18708, GB/T 23889 and ISO 9488-1999 and adds one entry, the ratio of hot water output, the ratio between the hot water actually delivered by a closed storage tank under nominal conditions and its nominal capacity, while clause 4 makes the symbols and units defined in GB/T 18708 and GB/T 19141 applicable.

The table of contents shows the remaining structure: clause 5 on classification and mark, clause 6 on design and installation requirements, clause 7 on technical requirements, clause 8 on the test method, clause 9 on inspection rules, clause 10 on signs, packaging, transportation and storage, and a normative Appendix A on the thickness tolerance of stainless steel plate.

This standard specifies the domestic solar hot water system tank (referred tank) terms and definitions, classification and marking, technical requirements, inspection Inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage.

This standard applies to a water capacity of not more than 0.6m3 of domestic solar hot water system tank.
