Scope
GB/T 28576-2012 is the English-translated version of 工业货架设计计算.
GB/T 28576-2012 fixes the basic structure of industrial assembled racking, the calculation model, the calculation conditions and load combinations, and the methods for checking strength, stiffness and stability.
Clause 1 applies it to the design calculation of automated warehouse racking, very narrow aisle pallet racking and general purpose pallet racking among industrial assembled racking, and adds that other types of racking may be calculated by reference to it.
The body opens with the scope, the normative references and the terms, describes the three rack structures in clause 4, sets out the calculation principle and the calculation model in clause 5 and the load calculation, the calculation conditions and the load combinations in clause 6, and then devotes clause 7 to the strength check with its design strength values, clause 8 to the stiffness check with its deformation calculation and limit values, and clause 9 to the stability check.
Three informative annexes give the expressions for the load combinations, the member strength formulas and the member stability formulas, and a list of references closes the standard.
Clause 2 cites GB/T 18354 on logistics terminology, GB 50011-2010 on the seismic design of buildings, GB 50017 on the design of steel structures, GB 50018-2002 on cold-formed steel and JB/T 9018 on the design of rail roadway high-bay warehouses.
On top of the terms of GB/T 18354, GB 50017 and JB/T 9018, clause 3 defines the industrial rack, built from column frames, beams or cantilevers and other load bearing members and used for storage, and then the four types it distinguishes, the automated warehouse rack served by a rail guided stacker, the very narrow aisle pallet rack served by a three way turret truck or trolley stacker, the general purpose pallet rack served by a forklift, and the corbel pallet rack, the last three being intended for pallet load units.
The draft breaks off at the end of clause 3, so the formulas and the limit values themselves are not visible.

3 Terms and Definitions
