Scope

GB/T 26148-2025 is the English-translated version of 高压水射流清洗作业安全规范.

GB/T 26148-2025 is the Chinese national standard on safety specification for the use of manually operated high pressure waterjet equipment, in the field of fluid systems and general-purpose components. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 30 May 2025 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 December 2025. Classification: ICS 23.100, CCS J70. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required. This document replaces GB/T 26148-2010 "Safety Specification for High-Pressure Water Jet Cleaning Operations". Compared with GB/T 26148-2010, In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) The scope of application of the standard has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2016 edition);

b) Deleted "water jet", "low-pressure water jet", "high-pressure water jet", "ultra-high-pressure water jet", "abrasive jet", "sprinkler", and "rotating sprinkler" "Forced rotating nozzle", "two-dimensional rotating nozzle", "three-dimensional rotating nozzle", "plane cleaner", "self-feeding nozzle", "pressure regulating valve", "foot control "Control valve" and "Multi-valve", add the terms and definitions of "hose safety sheath" and "anti-drop device" (see Chapter 3, 2020 Edition) Chapter 3);

c) The specific requirements for hoses have been changed (see 4.3.9,

4.2.8 of the.2016 edition);

d) "Proficiency" has been added (see 4.3.14);

e) Added "Cleaning operations for corrosive and other harmful substances" (see 5.1.2);

f) Added "determine the operating conditions" (see 5.1.3);

g) Added "lockout/tagout" (see 5.1.5);

h) Added "Operations involving the release of gases, vapors and biological agents" (see 5.1.6);

i) Added "Hose condition" (see 5.5.4);

j) Added "flexible buckle" (see 5.5.5);

k) Added "working surface" (see 5.6);

3 Terms and definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 41513 and the following apply to this document.

3.1 High pressure pump The working pressure is between 10 MPa and 100 MPa. It is a pressure source device used to increase the water pressure and deliver the high-pressure water to the nozzle.

Note. High pressure pumps are often of positive displacement piston type to ensure a constant flow rate at a given pump speed.

3.2 spray gun A handheld cleaning tool that controls high-pressure water through a nozzle to form a water jet. Note

1.It consists of a control valve, a spray bar and a nozzle assembly (including one or more nozzles), and the spray gun locking mechanism is shown in Figure 1. Note

2.The spray gun is usually connected to the pressure regulating valve at the discharge end of the high-pressure pump through a high-pressure hose assembly. Note

3.Spray guns can be classified according to the type of control valve. if the system drops to normal pressure when the valve is closed and the high-pressure water is discharged to the atmosphere, it is a unloading type spray gun; if the valve When closed, high pressure water remains in the system, which is a shut-off type spray gun.
