GB/T 41163-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤矿井下煤层水射流冲击增透工艺设计规范.

GB/T 41163-2021 is the Chinese national design specification for increasing the permeability of coal seams in underground coal mines with water jets.

It deals with methods such as hydraulic slotting, hydraulic burrowing and hydraulic punching, which cut slots and cavities around a borehole so that the pressure relief zone grows and gas can flow out of the coal.

1 Scope

This document specifies the equipment and process parameter design, anti-reflection construction process, health and safety Environmental management and design documents and other requirements.

This document is applicable to the design and construction of hydraulic slitting, burrowing, and perforating water jet impact enhancement of coal seams in coal mines.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Coal seam water jet impact enhancement

In the borehole, water jet impingement methods such as hydraulic slitting, hydraulic burrowing, and hydraulic punching are used to form a certain scale of slits and holes in the coal seam.

It is a means of increasing the pressure relief range of the borehole, increasing the permeability of the coal body, and promoting the gas flow and gushing in the coal body.

3.2 Hydraulic slotting

High-speed water jets are generated by pressurization equipment and nozzles of specific shapes, which act on the coal body, and form in the coal body along the radial direction of the borehole.
