Scope

GB/T 24837-2018 is the English-translated version of 1100kV高压交流隔离开关和接地开关.

GB/T 24837-2018 is the Chinese national standard for 1100 kV high-voltage alternating-current disconnectors and earthing switches; it is used together with GB/T 11022-2011 and follows its clause numbering.

It applies to equipment designed for outdoor installation at a rated voltage of 1100 kV and 50 Hz, and fixes service conditions, ratings, design and construction, type and routine tests, selection guidance and the rules for transport, storage, installation, operation and maintenance.

Ratings added beyond the general standard include short-circuit making current, terminal mechanical load, bus-transfer and bus-charging current switching, induced current switching by earthing switches, mechanical and electrical endurance classes M0 to M2 and E0 to E1, and small capacitive and inductive current switching.

It supersedes the guidance document GB/Z 24837-2009, was issued on 17 September 2018 and has applied since 1 April 2019.
