Scope
GB/T 23961-2023 is the English-translated version of 低碳脂肪胺含量的测定 气相色谱法.
GB/T 23961-2023 is the Chinese gas chromatographic method for measuring the main content and the organic impurity content of fifteen low-carbon aliphatic amine products.
It covers the mono-, di- and tri-ethylamines, propylamines, isopropylamines and butylamines obtained by the alcohol ammoniation process, together with the monoisopropylamine, diisopropylamine, mono-sec-butylamine and di-sec-butylamine obtained by ketone amination, and its lowest detectable content is 0.01 % by mass.
The sample is vaporised in the injector, separated on a capillary column, measured with a hydrogen flame ionisation detector and quantified by the corrected area normalisation method.
The document also fixes the purity of the hydrogen, nitrogen and air used and lists the reference values of the relative correction factors in Annex A. It replaces GB/T 23961-2009, was issued on 7 September 2023 and has applied since 1 April 2024.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.
This document replaces GB/T 23961-2009 "Gas Chromatography Method for Determination of Low-Carbon Fatty Amine Content" and is consistent with GB/T 23961-2009 In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
---The minimum detection content has been added to the range (see Chapter 1);
---Changed the chromatographic analysis conditions (see Chapter 8, 3.5 of the 2009 edition);
---The calculation formula has been changed (see Chapter 10, 3.7 of the 2009 edition);
---Added relative correction factor reference value list (see Appendix A).
1 Scope
This document describes the gas chromatography method for the determination of main content and organic impurity content in 15 low-carbon fatty amine products.
This document applies to monoethylamine, diethylamine, triethylamine, monoisopropylamine, diisopropylamine, mono-n-propylamine, and di-n-propylamine produced by the alcohol ammoniation process. Amine, tri-n-propylamine, mono-n-butylamine, di-n-butylamine, tri-n-butylamine, mono-isobutylamine, diisobutylamine, mono-sec-butylamine, di-sec-butylamine, and ketone amination process Determination of the main content and organic impurity content of the prepared monoisopropylamine, diisopropylamine, mono-sec-butylamine and di-sec-butylamine. The minimum detectable content is 0.01% (mass fraction).

3 Terms and definitions
There are no terms or definitions to be defined in this document.
4 Method summary
Under the selected working conditions, the sample is vaporized in the vaporization chamber and passes through the capillary chromatographic column, so that each component in the sample is effectively separated.
Isolation was detected using a hydrogen flame ionization detector and quantified using the calibrated area normalization method.
