Scope

GB/T 23965-2023 is the English-translated version of 工业用一异丙胺.

GB/T 23965-2023 covers industrial monoisopropylamine, the product obtained by catalytic amination of isopropyl alcohol or acetone in the presence of hydrogen. It specifies the classification and nomenclature, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the marking, packaging, transport and storage of the product.

It divides industrial monoisopropylamine by water content into monoisopropylamine (anhydrous) and monoisopropylamine (70% aqueous solution), and cancels the product grades of the earlier edition.

The appearance requirement is a transparent liquid with no visible mechanical impurities. For the determinations it cites GB/T 601, GB/T 603, GB/T 3143, GB/T 6283, GB/T 6324.8, GB/T 9722 and GB/T 23961.

It replaces GB/T 23965-2009, was issued on 7 September 2023 and has applied since 1 April 2024.

Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting.

This document replaces GB/T 23965-2009 "Isopropylamine for Industrial Use". Compared with GB/T 23965-2009, except for structural adjustment and compilation In addition to editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

---Delete the qualified product indicators of two types of products. monoisopropylamine (anhydrous) and monoisopropylamine (70% aqueous solution), and cancel the product grade (see Table 1 of the 2009 edition);

---"Monoisopropylamine" in monoisopropylamine (anhydrous) products was changed from ">=99.5%" (excellent product) to ">=99.7%"; monoisopropylamine (70% "Diisopropylamine" and "isopropyl alcohol" in aqueous solution) products were changed from "<=0.1%" (high-quality products) to "<=0.07%" (see Table 1, Table 1 of the 2009 edition);

---Changed the determination method of total alkalinity (see 6.4, 5.5.2 of the 2009 edition);

---Changed the ammonia measurement injection volume and calculation formula (see Table 2 and 6.6.6, 2009 version of Table 2 and 5.7.6);

---Changed the method for determination of moisture in isopropylamine (anhydrous) (see 6.7, 5.8 of the 2009 edition);

---The "Safety" part has been adjusted to an informative appendix (see Appendix B, Chapter 8 of the 2009 edition).
