GB/T 23450-2024 is the English-translated version of 建筑隔墙用保温条板.

GB/T 23450-2024 is the Chinese national standard covering the insulating strip panel that closes a non-load-bearing partition in an industrial or civil building — the classification, the specifications and dimensions, the raw materials, the heat transfer coefficient and the radionuclide limits, the test methods for surface density, compressive strength, softening coefficient, impact resistance, drying shrinkage and frost resistance, the flexural failure load and the hanging force a fixing has to carry, and the inspection rules and marking. The 180 mm and 200 mm thicknesses are new, and so are the test methods for flexural failure load and for hanging force. It replaces GB/T 23450-2009, under the China Building Materials Federation. In force from 1 May 2025. Issued on 26 October 2024, it has been in force since 1 May 2025, replacing GB/T 23450-2009.

Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part 1: Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting is required.

This document replaces GB/T 23450-2009 "Thermal insulation strips for building partition walls". Compared with GB/T 23450-2009, except for the structural adjustment Besides the editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.

a) The definition of “insulating strips for building partition walls” has been changed (see 3.1, Chapter 3 of the 2009 edition);

b) Added the classification and diagram of insulation strips, added thicknesses of 180 mm and.200 mm in Table 1, and added the corresponding thicknesses of 180 mm and.200 mm in Table 4.

Technical requirements should be added (see 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 6.3);

c) The requirements for raw materials have been changed (see Chapter 5, 5.1 of the 2009 edition);

d) Change “flexural load” to “flexural failure load” (see Table 4, Table 4 of the 2009 edition);

e) The technical indicator of “heat transfer coefficient” has been changed (see Table 4, Table 4 of the 2009 edition);

f) The indicator requirements for “Radionuclide Limits” have been modified (see 6.4, 5.5 of the 2009 edition);

g) Changed the “Appearance quality, dimensional tolerance, surface density, compressive strength, softening coefficient, moisture content, impact resistance, drying yield” Shrinkage and frost resistance" (see 7.1, 7.2, 7.3.1, 7.3.3, 7.3.4, 7.3.5, 7.3.6, 7.3.7, 7.3.9, 2009 edition) 6.2, 6.3, 6.4.6, 6.4.3, 6.4.4, 6.4.5, 6.4.1, 6.4.7, 6.4.9);

h) Added “Bending failure load test method” and “Hanging force test method” (see Appendix A and Appendix B).
