Scope

GB/T 23250-2009 is the English-translated version of 煤层瓦斯含量井下直接测定方法.

GB/T 23250-2009 fixes the direct method for determining coal seam gas content underground: the sampling method, the measurement of the desorbed gas, the compensation method for the lost gas, the measurement of the residual gas and the calculation of the coal seam gas content.

Clause 1 states that it applies to the direct determination of coal seam gas content in coal mines by the desorption method, and it rules out three cases built on seriously leaking drilling, gas drilling and core gas content, in wording the draft renders too brokenly to reproduce.

The table of contents runs 1 Scope, 2 Normative references, 3 Terms and definitions, 4 Equipment, 5 Sample, 6 measuring method and step, 7 Data Processing, 8 Determination Report and 9 measurement results of the evaluation, followed by nine informative annexes lettered A to I: a sampling record, two desorption record tables, one for coal measured underground and one for degassed coal samples, a laboratory desorption measurement record table, a summary table of coal seam gas content results, a gas analysis test report, a coal seam gas content measurement report, and two tables of saturation vapour pressure at different temperatures, one for water and one for saturated brine.

Clause 2 cites GB/T 212, GB 474, GB/T 3715, GB/T 13610, GB/T 15663.8, AQ 1026 and MT/T 752.

Clause 3 takes its terms from GB/T 15663.8 and adds six entries whose term names the draft does not print, among them the gas remaining in the coal after the sample has desorbed at normal pressure, the gas lost between the exposure of the coal and the start of measurement, the gas desorbed under negative pressure before the coal is pulverised, and the gas desorbed in a mill once more than 95 per cent of the coal is finer than 0.25 mm.

The draft stops at the end of those definitions, so the equipment, measurement, data processing and reporting clauses are shown by title only. It was proposed by the China Coal Industry Association and published by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine with the Standardization Administration.

The page names no superseded edition; the standard was issued on 2009-03-11 and has applied since 2009-11-01.
