Scope
GB/T 22854-2009 is the English-translated version of 针织学生服.
GB/T 22854-2009 specifies the sizes, requirements, inspection rules, judgement rules, instructions for use, packaging, transport and storage of knitted school uniforms, and applies to the assessment of school uniforms mass-produced mainly from knitted fabrics.
Products are graded as superior, first or acceptable grade on intrinsic and appearance quality, with sizes taken from GB/T 1335 or GB/T 6411.
Intrinsic quality covers bursting and seam strength, dimensional change and spirality after washing, colour fastness to washing, perspiration, water, rubbing, light and combined light and perspiration, print fastness, pilling, colour transfer between joined panels, and the safety indicators of GB 18401 and fibre content labelling to FZ/T 01053.
Appearance quality covers a table of surface defects, dimensional tolerances by body height, differences in symmetrical dimensions, measurement rules for tops and trousers, and sewing requirements including stitch densities per machine type; the inspection rules set sampling quantities and lighting conditions, with Annexes A and B normative.
