Scope

GB/T 22803-2016 is the English-translated version of 鞋用纸板.

GB/T 22803-2016 specifies the product classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage of shoe board used for the insoles and half-shanks of leather shoes and other footwear.

Board is classified by use into insole board and half-shank board and by quality into superior and acceptable grades, with tables of thickness, density, machine- and cross-direction tensile strength, ply bond strength, flexing index, stiffness, dimensional change, heel nail-holding force, water absorption, bending properties and moisture for each nominal thickness.

Test methods refer to the GB/T 450 and GB/T 451 series, GB/T 12914 and GB/T 22364-2008, with normative annexes for ply bond strength, flexing index, heel nail-holding force and bending properties; lots are accepted by double sampling to GB/T 2828.1 at inspection level S-2.

It replaces GB/T 22803-2008, Shoe-making board: counter board has been removed, the insole board indicators and ply bond test revised, stiffness added and wet tensile strength replaced by tensile strength, and new ply bond, nail-holding and water absorption requirements introduced for half-shank board.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 22803-2008, Shoe-making board. Compared with GB/T 22803-2008, the main changes are as follows:

- the title of the standard has been changed;

- the scope of application has been adjusted;

- the product grading has been adjusted;

- the content relating to counter board has been deleted;

- for insole board, the requirements for ply bond strength, flexing index, thickness and density and the test method for ply bond strength have been adjusted, wet tensile strength has been changed to tensile strength, a stiffness requirement and the corresponding test method have been added, and shrinkage after drying at high temperature for 1 h has been deleted;

- for half-shank board, requirements for ply bond strength, heel nail-holding force and water absorption and the corresponding test methods have been added, and the requirements for thickness and density have been adjusted.
