Scope
GB/T 13024-2016 is the English-translated version of 箱纸板.
GB/T 13024-2016 specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transport and storage of linerboard.
It applies to uncoated linerboard used in the manufacture of corrugated board, supplied in reels or sheets, and does not apply to white-top linerboard lined with bleached pulp.
Three quality grades (superior, first, qualified) are set for grammage tolerances from 90 g/m2 to 360 g/m2, cross-direction grammage variation, density, burst index and cross-direction ring crush index by grammage band, smoothness, folding endurance, Cobb water absorptiveness and delivery moisture, together with sheet and reel dimensions, appearance defects and a double sampling plan under GB/T 2828.1 at AQL 6.5 and 10.
It replaces GB/T 13024-2003: the terms and definitions clause is deleted, the product classification is adjusted, kraft linerboard no longer has separate indicators, a smoothness indicator is added and several limits and the attribute sampling procedure are revised.

Foreword
This standard is drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 13024-2003, Linerboard. Compared with GB/T 13024-2003, the main changes are as follows:
- the clause "Terms and definitions" has been deleted;
- the product classification has been adjusted;
- technical indicators are no longer specified separately for kraft linerboard;
- a smoothness indicator has been added;
- some technical indicators have been adjusted in line with the actual condition of products;
- the sampling procedures for inspection by attributes have been modified.
