Foreword

This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1:1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents" Drafting: This document is Part 5 of GB/T 10335 "Coated Paper and Paperboard": GB/T 10335 has released the following parts:

---Coated art printing paper (coated paper) (GB/T 10335:1-2017);

---Lightweight coated paper (GB/T 10335:2-2018);

---Coated white cardboard (GB/T 10335:3-2018);

---Coated white cardboard (GB/T 10335:4-2017);

---Part 6: Water-based coated paper (GB/T 10335:6-2023): This document replaces GB/T 10335:5-2008 "Coated Paper and Paperboard Coated Containerboard": Compared with GB/T 10335:5-2008, except In addition to structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

a) Changed the basis weight, width difference, tightness, transverse ring pressure strength index, transverse folding endurance, printing surface roughness, and printing gloss strength, printing surface strength, ink absorbency, water absorbency, dustiness, dimensional deviation, skewness, appearance quality requirements (see 5:1,:2008 version 4:1);

b) Added quantitative deviation, internal bonding strength, gloss requirements and test methods (see 5:1, 6:3, 6:8 and 6:11);

c) The smoothness requirements and test methods are deleted (see 4:1 and 5:10 of the:2008 edition);

d) Delete "the thickness should be consistent", "there should be no delamination without external force" and "the ends of roll-coated boxboard" in the appearance quality: The surface should be flat, and the jagged or concave and convex surfaces formed should not exceed the requirements of 5mm (see 4:3:1, 4:3:2 and 4:3:6 of the:2008 edition);

e) The calculation formula of banner quantitative difference is deleted (see 5:4 of the:2008 edition);

f) The test conditions for printing surface roughness have been changed (see 6:10, 5:11 of the:2008 edition);

g) Changed the test method for printing surface strength (see 6:13, 5:13 of the:2008 edition);

h) The factory inspection items have been changed (see 7:4, 6:4 of the:2008 edition);

1 Scope

GB/T 10335.5-2023 is the Chinese national standard on coated paper and board - part 5: coated linerboard, in the field of paper technology. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 28 December 2023 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 July 2024.
