Scope

GB/T 20174-2019 is the English-translated version of 石油天然气钻采设备 钻通设备.

GB/T 20174-2019 sets the design, material, welding, quality control, marking, storage and transport requirements for the drill-through equipment used on oil and gas wells.

It covers ram blowout preventers, rams, ram rubber cores and top seals, annular blowout preventers and their sealing elements, one-piece BOPs, hydraulic connectors for wellheads, risers or LMRPs, drilling crosses and spools, adapters, mandrels, single-piece connections and clamps.

It fixes rated pressure and temperature classes, design verification and validation testing, written material specifications for pressure-bearing and pressure-controlling parts, welding procedure qualification, marking and product coding.

Dimensional interchangeability is limited to end and outlet connections, and field use and field testing of the equipment are outside its scope. It replaces GB/T 20174-2006, was issued on 25 March 2019 and has applied since 1 October 2019.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 20174-2006 "Drilling and Production Equipment for Oil and Gas Industry Drilling and Passing Equipment". Compared with GB/T 20174-2006, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Added the relevant content of the integrated BOP;

--- Revised the schematic diagram of the ground drilling equipment and the schematic diagram of the underwater drilling equipment (see Figure 1, Figure 2);

--- Increased the terms and definitions of closure ratio, key areas, critical dimensions, etc.;

--- Increased acronyms such as COC, FAT, MOPFLPS;

--- Increased rated pressure levels of 6.9 MPa (1000 psi) and 172.4 MPa (25,000 psi) (see Table 2);

--- Increased the temperature grade of the metal material, from the original three temperature levels to six, increasing the temperature limit of 177 ° C (See Table 3);

--- Increased the non-metallic seal temperature level to the lowest temperature, continuous high temperature, extreme high temperature representation method, the representation method from the original 2 digits become 3 digits (see Table 4);

--- Increased hydraulic connector requirements for locking (see 5.3.11.7);

--- Increased the requirements for test piles (see 5.4.8);

--- Increased the purpose, procedures, and record requirements for design verification tests such as ring and ram blowout preventers (see 5.7);

--- Increased the design confirmation test content, such as. low pressure seal minimum operating pressure test if the wellbore pressure is zero (see 5.7.3.1.1), Minimum operating pressure test for low pressure seals with well pressure (see 5.7.3.1.2), shear diameter design range test (see 5.7.3.4.2), partial Heart shear test (see 5.7.3.4.3), lateral force shear test (see 5.7.3.4.4), annular blowout preventer extended range operating performance test (see 5.7.3.12);

--- Increased design temperature confirmation test content, such as. annular blowout preventer continuous working temperature design confirmation test (see 5.7.3.17), ring Low-pressure path performance test of the blowout preventer (see 5.7.3.19);

--- Increased the requirements for weld repairs and traceability requirements for metal parts in written specifications (see 6.2.1);

--- Increased the performance requirements of non-standard materials for pressure parts (see 6.3.1, Table 29);

--- Increased material requirements for pressure control parts (see 6.4);

--- Modified the requirements for post-weld heat treatment (7.3.7);

--- Increased the requirements for filling material identification and chemical composition analysis in the performance qualification of the welding process (see 7.4.3);

--- Increased the requirements for visual inspection of welders (see 7.4.8);

--- Increased the hardness test of the surfacing layer (see 7.5.1.2.5);

--- Increased the hardness test requirements for the actual value of the hardness test of pressure parts and pressure control parts at the point of location (see 8.5.1.4); the actual value of the weld hardness test shall be indicated on the part close to the test position (see 8.5.1.16);

--- Increased the content of the diameter test, canceled the 30min aging requirements of the ram blowout preventer (see 8.5.7.4.2);

--- Increased the requirements for the housing gasket area in the bulk hydrostatic strength test (see 8.5.7.6.2);

--- Increased the test requirements for pressure-bearing components when BOP or hydraulic connectors are transported separately (see 8.5.7.8.6);

--- Removed the requirements for the repair and repair of the canonical Appendix B (see Appendix B of the 2006 edition);

--- Deleted the design confirmation procedure for the informative Appendix C Ground Safety Valve (SSV) and Underwater Safety Valve (USV) (see Appendix C of the 2006 edition);

--- Deleted the design and rating of the high-temperature device for the informative Appendix D (see Appendix D of the 2006 edition);
