Scope
GB/T 47273-2026 is the English-translated version of 海上组块浮托安装的设计与施工规范.
GB/T 47273-2026 is the Chinese national standard covering the floatover installation - a barge carrying a complete platform topside is floated between the legs of the jacket and ballasted down until the structure lands on it, which puts thousands of tonnes in place in a few hours without a heavy lift crane. The mating happens in a window of minutes and cannot be reversed. First edition, in force since 1 July 2026. It was issued on 31 March 2026 and has been in force since 1 July 2026, as a first edition. The document is under the responsibility of the Standardization Administration of China. This page is published from the official record of the 2026 edition; the clause text of a standard this recent is not yet in circulation, and the figures, limits and tables it contains are those of the document itself, delivered in full with the English translation.

This document specifies the general design requirements for offshore modular floating installation, the design for floating installation on non-powered barges, and the design for floating installation on dynamically positioned vessels. Requirements related to equipment design, model testing, virtual simulation, floating installation monitoring, and offshore construction. This document applies to the design and construction of offshore modular floating installations; it can be used as a reference for floating removal.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Floatover By adjusting the ballast water volume of the tidal vessel and utilizing tidal changes, the height of the superstructure is adjusted, placing the superstructure on top of the lower support structure. One type of installation method for the part.
3.2 Substructure Fixed to the seabed or floating on the sea surface, it is used to support the upper module of the platform.
3.3 Substructure slot of the lower support structure The space between the legs of the lower support structure is used for the entry and exit of floating vessels.
3.4 Deck support frame (DSF) A structure located between the superstructure and the hull, used to support the superstructure and distribute the load of the superstructure to the hull.
3.5 Deck separation unit (DSU) Installed on the upper part of the upper module support structure, it is used to buffer the separation of the upper module from the floating vessel. A device for inter-collision force.
3.6 Leg mating unit (LMU) Installed on the upper end of the legs of the lower support structure or the lower end of the legs of the upper module, it is used to buffer the upper module when it docks with the lower support structure. A device for controlling the collision force between the block and the lower supporting structure.
3.7 swayfender Located between the two sides of the trolley and the substructure, it consists of a fixed structure and rubber fenders, and is used to buffer the impact between the trolley and the substructure. Fenders that support the lateral collision force between supporting structures.
