Scope
GB/T 19705-2017 is the English-translated version of 水文仪器信号与接口.
GB/T 19705-2017 defines the signals and interfaces used between hydrological instruments and their sensors, the display, recording and data transmission equipment, and other automation systems.
It covers definitions, the classification of signals and interfaces, technical requirements and test methods.
The requirements deal with sensors such as rotor current meters, tipping bucket rain gauges, float water level gauges, telemetry evaporation gauges and hydrometric cableway equipment, with display, recording and data transmission equipment, and with I/O connectors and pin assignments, while the test methods include an interchangeability test.
It applies to the sensors, display and recording equipment, data transmission equipment and automation system equipment of hydrological instruments. Instrument manufacturers and hydrological monitoring agencies use it.
It replaces GB/T 19705-2005, was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 19705-2005 "hydrological instrumentation signals and interfaces," compared with GB/T 19705-2005, in addition to editorial repair Change, the main technical content changes are as follows.
--- Modify the normative references;
--- Combined "non-smart sensor" and "smart sensor" as "sensor";
--- Increased rotor-type flow meter (see 5.2.1), tipping bucket rain gauge (see 5.2.2), float level gauge (see 5.2.3), telemetry evaporation (See 5.2.4), interface and signal requirements of hydrographic cable test equipment (see 5.2.5);
--- Added some other sensor interface (see 5.2.6);
--- Increased sensor output signal related content (see 5.2.9,5.2.10);
--- Added "frequency interface" "network interface" "optical interface" (see 5.3.1.1);
--- Added "digital transmission equipment can have a number of relay output interface" (see 5.3.2.4);
--- In the "I/O interface connector and pin definition" (see 5.4) to add a plug-in and pin definition table.
1 Scope

3.1 Signal
A change in one or more characteristic quantities may be used to represent the physical phenomenon of information. The meaning of the signal specifically refers to the hydrological instrument sensor and significant Show, record or transmit data between devices and between hydrological devices and other automation system equipment.
3.2 Interface
Necessary hardware and accompanying software for communicating between two or more modules (or components, devices). Is a module (or component, device) The common boundary between. The meaning of the interface specifically refers to the hydrological instrument sensor and display, recording or data transmission equipment and hydrological instruments and their The hardware and accompanying software that communicates between his devices (such as a computer).
3.3 Data transmission equipment
Data transmission equipment refers to the equipment that can automatically collect and transmit parameters (or have storage and partial control functions).
4 Categories
4.1 Signal Classification
4.1.1 hydrological instrument signal according to the information flow into the input signal, the output signal. Sensor measurement output signal is displayed, recorded or The input signal of the data transmission equipment.
4.1.2 hydrological instrument signal according to the mechanism of the source is divided into passive on-off signals and active voltage signals, current signals, frequency signals,
