Scope

GB/T 18884.4-2015 is the English-translated version of 家用厨房设备第4部份：设计与安装.

GB/T 18884.4-2015 is the design and installation part of GB/T 18884 on household kitchen equipment. Clause 1 states that this part specifies the design of household kitchen equipment, the installation requirements and the acceptance, and that it applies to the delivery inspection of the design and installation of household kitchen equipment.

The contents list a Scope, Normative references, clause 3 Design with 3.1 Design method and step and 3.2 Requirements, clause 4 Installation with 4.1 Installation conditions and 4.2 Installation requirements, clause 5 Acceptance with subclauses on exterior, dimensions tolerances, firmness, sealing performance and safety and hygiene, a clause 6 whose heading the draft renders only as results found and whose subclauses are safety indicators, design, installation, exterior and determine the rules, and an informative Appendix A on household kitchen equipment design.

The foreword records that GB/T 18884 is divided into four parts, on terminology, general requirements, test methods and inspection rules, and design and installation, and that against the 2002 edition the referenced standards were updated and the old ones removed, the measurement content was modified, the choice of household food waste disposers was added, standard equipment design icons for household kitchen cabinets and for household kitchen utensils were added, and the graphic representation of the way measurements are drawn was modified and extended.

It also records that the part was proposed by the China National Light Industry Council and is administered by SAC/TC174. It replaces GB/T 18884.4-2002, was issued on 18 September 2015 and has applied since 1 April 2016.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This Part replaces GB/T 18884.4-2002 "household kitchen equipment - Part 4: Design and Installation." This portion GB/T 18884.4-2002 compared to the main technical changes are as follows.

1 Scope

GB/T 18884 specifies the design of this part of the home kitchen equipment, installation requirements and acceptance.

This section applies to home design and installation of kitchen equipment delivery inspection.
