Foreword

This revised standard adopts ISO 15988:2003 "Plastics film and sheeting biaxially oriented polyester film." this standard and ISO 15988:2003 as compared to the main differences are as follows.

--- Test method standards are the national standard;

--- Thickness deviation is divided into two different levels;

--- Remove the inner diameter of the film roll deviation requirements;

--- Increased requirements for film roll length, the number of joints and the length of each segment;

--- Increased gloss, friction coefficient of the project;

--- "Thermal stability" Project name to "heat shrinkage rate";

--- Improve the performance of some of the projects;

--- Increased inspection rules and provisions of the transport and storage.

This standard replaces GB/T 16958-1997 "packaging biaxially oriented polyester film." this standard compared with GB/T 16958-1997, the main changes are as follows.

--- Increasing the classification;

--- Remove the original Standard Appendix A, the oxygen permeability coefficient, water vapor permeability requirements included in the text;

--- Modify the grade requirements of the product;

--- Modify the sampling plan.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the packaging biaxially oriented polyester film (hereinafter referred to as polyester film) product specifications, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, Signs, packaging, transport and storage.

This standard applies to polyethylene terephthalate resin as the main raw material, two-way stretch technology the system can be used alone or with its His film film composite materials used.
