Scope

GB/T 16805-2017 is the English-translated version of 输送石油天然气及高挥发性液体钢质管道压力试验.

GB/T 16805-2017 sets out how to pressure test steel pipelines carrying natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, hazardous liquids, highly volatile liquids and carbon dioxide.

It applies to line pipe, station piping, appurtenances, fittings and valves, but not to pumps, compressors, pressure vessels, instrument and sampling piping, or to tests using natural gas, nitrogen or air as the test medium.

It covers the types of test - peak, strength and tightness tests - the test medium, equipment and instruments, the test programme with target pressure, duration and acceptance criteria, personnel qualification, filling and cleaning, pressurization, leak location, depressurization and disposal of the medium, drying, and the test record and chart.

It replaces GB/T 16805-2009, was issued on 1 November 2017 and has applied since 1 May 2018.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.

This standard replaces GB/T 16805-2009 "liquid petroleum pipeline pressure test", compared with GB/T 16805-2009, the main technology The changes are as follows.

--- Modify the "normative references" (see Chapter 2);

--- Added "Terms and definitions" (see Chapter 3, 2009 version Chapter 3);

--- Added "stress test type" (see Chapter 4);

--- Modify the "pressure test medium" (see Chapter 5, 2009 version Chapter 5);

--- Increase the "pressure test personnel qualifications" (see Chapter 8);

--- Added "stress test failure" content (see Chapter 10);

--- Added "Find Leaks" (see Chapter 10);

--- Added "pressure test medium pressure relief, replacement and disposal of" content (see Chapter 10);

--- Modify the "stress test record" (see Chapter 12, 2009 edition Chapter 10);

--- Added "pressure test icon" (see Chapter 12).

1 Scope

This standard specifies the delivery of natural gas, liquefied petroleum gas, dangerous liquids, highly volatile liquids, carbon dioxide pipeline pressure test practices.

This standard applies to the pipeline and pipeline components of the pressure test. Pipeline and pipeline facilities include. Line pipelines, yard pipelines, Pipeline appendages, plumbing fixtures, fittings, valves, fittings, etc.

This standard does not apply to pump sets, compressors, pressure relief cans, pressure vessels, control pipes, sampling pipes, instrumentation pipes, or other standard finger Components or piping systems required for pressure testing (eg, boilers and pressure vessels, piping systems covered by building standards, etc.).

This standard does not apply to the use of natural gas, nitrogen or air as a test pressure medium piping system pressure test.

3 Terms and definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Pressure balance (deadweight tester)

An instrument consisting of a precision-machined piston mounted vertically in a closed cylinder to test pressure, also known as "piston pressure meter".

Note and pressure control device, pressure test port, block, collectively referred to as "pressure balance."

3.2 Frozen plug (freeze plug)

Pipeline freezing point for freezing pressure in the pipe by using liquid nitrogen on the outer surface of the pipe.

Note: It is often used to divide a test section into smaller test sections to make it easier to pinpoint a leak or to set a test boundary.

3.3 Dangerous liquid (hazardous liquid)

Oil, petroleum products or anhydrous ammonia.

3.4 Highly volatile liquid

Harmful liquids at a temperature of 37.8 °C and a saturated vapor pressure of more than 0.276 MPa.

3.5 Tightness test (leak test)

Pipeline test to determine if there is a leak in the piping system.

Note: According to the needs of the pressure test program, tightness test can be used alone, or according to the requirements of the pressure test program in addition to peak test, strength test […]
