Scope
GB/T 15463-2018 is the English-translated version of 静电安全术语.
GB/T 15463-2018 is the Chinese national standard on electrostatic safety terminology, in the field of generalities, terminology and documentation. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 7 June 2018 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 January 2019. Classification: ICS 01.020, CCS C65. This page is published from the official record of the standard held by the Chinese standards administration: the identification, the dates, the classification and the issuing body are taken from there. The clause text, the tables and the numeric limits are in the document itself, which is delivered complete in English translation.

Foreword
This standard was drafted in accordance with the rules given in GB/T 1.1-2009.
This standard replaces GB/T 15463-2008 "Electrostatic Safety Terms". Compared with GB/T 15463-2008, this standard is within the main technology
Changes in volume are as follows.
--- Modify the scope (see Chapter 1);
--- Removed normative references. References cited in the standard are included in the reference (see references,.2008 edition).
--- Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition was revised to chapter 2;
--- The term "line charge density" "surface charge density" "bulk charge density" "surface resistance" "volume resistance" "resistivity" "surface resistance
The rate "volume resistivity" is adjusted to Chapter 4 (see 4.1 to 4.5, 4.16, 4.21, 4.22,.2008 version 3.13, 3.14, 3.15,
3.32, 3.33, 3.35, 3.36, 3.37);
--- Modify the terms "electrostatic" "charge" "bound charge" "free charge" "charge density" "dielectric" "electricity" "Coulomb's law"
(See 2.2, 2.13, 2.14, 2.15, 2.16, 2.18, 2.21, 2.33, 3.2, 3.9, 3.10, 3.11, 3.12, 3.17,.2008, 3.18, 3.19);
--- Removed the term "system resistance" (version 3.34 of the.2008 edition);
--- Chapters 4 and 5 of the.2008 edition are merged into Chapter 3;
--- Added the term "frictional charged voltage" "electrostatic (discharge) sensitivity" "electrostatic (discharge) immunity" "triboelectric effect" (see 3.9, 3.44, 3.45, 3.52);
--- The terms "electrostatic discharge", "glow discharge", "dielectric breakdown", "contact potential difference", "electrostatic neutralization" and "ion current" have been modified (see
3.19, 3.25, 3.32, 3.39, 3.46, 3.51, 5.1, 5.6, 5.13, 4.25, 5.2) of the.2008 edition;
--- Removed the term "electrostatic sensitivity" (2008 version 5.19);
--- Chapter 7 of the.2008 edition was reorganized into Chapter 4;
