Scope
GB/T 15092.2-2023 is the English-translated version of 器具开关 第2-1部分:软线开关的特殊要求.
GB/T 15092.2-2023 is Part 2-1 of the Chinese series on appliance switches, and gives the particular requirements for cord switches - the inline switch on a lamp or a heater flex. It is a live component lying on a floor, trodden on, pulled by the cord, and often opened by the user; the cord anchorage inside it is what stops the conductors being pulled off the terminals, and the enclosure is what stops a foot finding them. The standard follows the clause structure of the general standard, setting the particular requirements for rating, classification, marking and documentation, protection against electric shock, earthing, terminals, construction, mechanism, endurance, mechanical strength, abnormal operation and fault conditions, and the switching components. It took effect on 1 March 2024.

1 Scope
Except for the following content, Chapter 1 of GB/T 15092.1-2020 applies. Increase. This document applies to electrical appliances and other electrical appliances with a rated voltage not higher than 250V and a rated current not higher than 16A for household or similar purposes. A mechanical or electronic soft-wire switch used in equipment that is driven or controlled by hands, feet or other human body movements. In this document the word "appliance" means "appliance or equipment". This type of switch must be operated by a person through an actuator or by an excitation sensor device. The actuator or sensor device is physically attached or Electrically integrated with the switch or configured separately, it may also include signal transmission between the actuator or sensor and the switch, such as electrical, Optical, acoustic or temperature signal transmission. Switches with additional control functions subject to the control of the switch function are within the scope of this document. This document also covers indirectly driven switches, where the operation of the actuator or sensor device is by a remote control, part of the appliance (e.g. door) to reach. Note
1.Electronic switches can be combined with mechanical switches that provide full disconnection or micro-disconnection. Note
2.Electronic switches without mechanical switches in the power circuit only provide electronic disconnection, therefore, the circuit on the load side is always considered live. Note
3.For switches used in tropical climates, additional requirements may apply. Note
4.Note that appliance standards may contain additional requirements or replacement requirements for switches.
