Scope

GB/T 14741-2009 is the English-translated version of 港口吸粮机.

GB/T 14741-2009 specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage requirements for port pneumatic grain unloaders, and applies to pneumatic grain unloaders used in ports.

The technical requirements set the working conditions (-20 °C to +45 °C, up to 95 % humidity, wind up to 20 m/s) and cover materials, wire ropes, sheaves, gears, brakes and couplings, ancillary conveyors sized at 1.2 to 1.5 times the unloader capacity, welded structure and mechanisms, lubrication, electrical equipment, the operator's cab, painting and safety protection including dust explosion protection, limit switches, wind alarms at 15 m/s and overload valves.

For the pneumatic conveying system it specifies pipes and elbows, suction nozzles, separators and rotary discharge valves, cyclone and bag dust collectors with efficiencies of 98 % and 99.5 %, and air source equipment sized with 10 % to 20 % allowances for leakage and pressure loss and limited to 85 dB(A); the test methods cover instruments, test conditions, Pitot-tube traverse flow measurement to GB/T 1236 and the measurement of capacity, air velocity, mixing ratio, pressure loss, dust, energy consumption, leakage, grain breakage and noise.

It replaces and merges GB/T 14741-1993 and GB/T 14742-1993, with strengthened requirements on occupational health, safety, reliability and electrical systems, air flow expressed as mass flow, improved test and calculation methods, new inspection rules and the test record forms moved to an informative annex.

Foreword

This standard replaces GB/T 14741-1993, Specifications of port pneumatic grain unloader, and GB/T 14742-1993, Test methods of port pneumatic grain unloader. This standard is a combined revision of GB/T 14741-1993 and GB/T 14742-1993, incorporating the content of GB/T 14742 into GB/T 14741.

Compared with GB/T 14741-1993 and GB/T 14742-1993, the main differences of this standard are as follows:

- the technical requirements on occupational health, safety protection, reliability, the electrical system and other aspects have been supplemented and amended (see Clause 3);

- with reference to Industrial fans - Performance testing using standardized airways (GB/T 1236-2000, idt ISO 5801:1997), the air flow of the pneumatic conveying system is expressed as mass flow instead of volume flow (see 4.7.1.2);

- the test and calculation methods for the pneumatic conveying system have been improved (see Clause 4);

- the method of measuring the parameters of the pneumatic conveying system with Pitot tubes has been improved (see Clause 4);

- "Inspection rules" have been added (see Clause 5);

- the test record forms have been moved to an informative annex (see Annex C).

Annex A, Annex B and Annex C of this standard are informative.
