Foreword

This standard replaces GB 14588-1993 "Environmental management of reactor decommissioning technical requirements." This standard compared with GB 14588-1993 major changes are as follows:

--- "End of life", the definition of "legacy nuclear facility" was amended to remove the "retired Level", "Unlimited reuse", "retired as Industry "," lower than the low-level radioactive waste ", the new" decommissioning strategy "and other definitions;

--- Increased "environmental management objectives" chapter, the basic objective of this clear standard for environmental management;

--- Removed the "Environmental Management Program" chapter;

This standard specifies the reactor decommissioning process and the final state of environmental management objectives, principles, procedures and requirements and so on. This standard applies to the production of research and test reactors and reactor decommissioning.

3 Terms and Definitions
