8.Powders, Compared with GB/T 13917.8-2009, the main technical changes in the "Pen-type Dosage Forms" are as follows, apart from structural adjustments and editorial modifications.

a) The scope of application has been changed (see Chapter 1, Chapter 1 of the.2009 edition);

b) Added the terms and definitions for "powder," "pen," and "mortality rate" (see 3.1, 3.2, and 3.3);

c) Requirements for test materials have been added (see 4.1);

d) Bedbugs were added as a test material (see 4.2.4);

e) The test conditions were changed (see Chapter 6,

1 Scope

GB/T 13917.8-2025 is the Chinese national standard on laboratory efficacy test methods and criterions of public health insecticides for pesticide registration - part 8: dustable powder and chalk, in the field of agriculture. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. 3 Terms and Definitions

The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 19378-2017, as well as the following terms and definitions, apply to this document.

3.1 Dustable powder Suitable for spraying or spreading free-flowing powdered preparations containing active ingredients. [Source: GB/T 19378-2017, 2.2.1.1]

3.2 chalk The active ingredients are mixed with gypsum powder and additives or impregnated with absorbent liquid to form a pen-like preparation that can be applied directly.

3.3 Mortality Under a certain drug dosage or concentration, the percentage of target organisms that die per unit time out of the total number of individuals.

4 Test materials

4.1 Test reagents Set the dosage of the test reagent according to the experimental requirements. Specify the Chinese/English common name or code of the reagent, dosage form, active ingredient content, and production details. Company, production date or batch number, etc.
