Foreword

This document is in accordance with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Guidelines for standardization work Part

1.Structure and drafting rules for standardization documents" Drafting. This document replaces GB/T 11981-2008 "Light steel keel for building". Compared with GB/T 11981-2008, except for the structural adjustment and In addition to the logical changes, the main technical changes are as follows:

--- Deleted the terms and definitions of keels with different cross-sectional shapes (see Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

--- Change the term "hanging plug" to "horizontal connector" (see Chapter 3, Chapter 3 of the.2008 edition);

--- Changed the classification rules and recommended specifications of keels, and integrated the classification and code of keels into the "Keel Product Classification and Specifications" table (See Table 1, Table 1 of the.2008 edition);

--- Deleted the H-shaped ceiling keel and L-shaped ceiling load-bearing keel, and deleted the corresponding codes, specifications and technical requirements (see Chapter 4, Table 1, and Table 5 of the.2008 edition);

--- Added the keel classified as F-type ceiling, and added the corresponding code, specifications and technical requirements (see Chapter 4, Table 1, Table 6);

--- Increased requirements for raw materials (see Chapter 5);

--- Changed the requirements for "thickness tolerance" (see Table 2, Table 2 of the.2008 edition);

--- Deleted the technical requirements and test methods for "thickness of double-sided galvanized layer" (see

6.3.6.2 of the.2008 edition);

--- Changed the technical requirements of "Salt spray resistance" (see 6.3.3,

5.3.3 of the.2008 edition);

--- Changed the test method for "double-sided galvanizing amount" (see 7.3.6.1,

1 Scope

GB/T 11981-2024 is the Chinese national standard on steel furring for building, in the field of construction materials and building. The /T suffix marks it as a recommended standard: it is not compulsory by itself, but it becomes binding as soon as a contract, a tender or a customer specification calls it up - which in practice is how most foreign buyers meet it. It was issued on 26 October 2024 by the State Administration for Market Regulation; Standardization Administration of China, and has been in force since 1 May 2025. This document specifies the classification and marking, raw materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, etc. of light steel keels used in construction. Packaging, transportation and storage. This document is applicable to non-load-bearing walls and ceilings that are finished with light-weight panels such as paper-faced gypsum board, decorative gypsum board, mineral wool decorative sound-absorbing board, etc. The roof of the building is made of light steel keel.

3 Terms and Definitions

The following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Using continuous hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (strip) or color-coated steel sheet (strip) based on continuous hot-dip galvanized steel sheet (strip) as raw material, cold-bending process Thin-walled steel produced by technology.
