GB/T 26183-2025 is the Chinese national standard covering the bathroom ceiling unit that heats, ventilates and lights in one housing — the heating output and the surface temperatures, the air flow, the lighting, the moisture protection required above a bath, the mounting into a suspended ceiling, and the performance and safety tests. It replaces GB/T 26183-2010, under the China National Light Industry Council. In force from 1 March 2026. Issued on 29 August 2025, it has been in force since 1 March 2026, replacing GB/T 26183-2010.

Foreword
This document complies with the provisions of GB/T 1.1-2020 "Standardization Work Guidelines Part 1: Structure and Drafting Rules of Standardization Documents". Drafting.
This document supersedes GB/T 26183-2010 "Multifunctional Ceiling Fixtures for Household and Similar Purposes" and is consistent with GB/T 26183-2010.
Aside from structural adjustments and editorial changes, the main technical changes are as follows.
a) The "Categories" section has been removed (see Chapter 4 in the 2010 edition);
b) Performance requirements and test methods have been changed (see 4.3, 5.3, 5.4 and 6.4 in the 2010 version);
c) Requirements and test methods for appliances installed in special environments have been added (see 4.4 and 5.4);
d) The performance requirements and test methods for suspended ceiling panels have been deleted (see sections 5.3 and 6.3 of the 2010 edition);
e) The performance requirements and test methods for noise have been removed (see 5.4.7 and 6.4.7 in the 2010 edition);
f) The performance requirements and test methods for drop and vibration tests have been removed (see sections 5.4.8, 5.4.9, 6.4.8, and 6.4.9 in the 2010 version);
g) The "Installation Accessories" section has been changed (see 6.5, 7.5 in the 2010 version);
h) The "Installation Dimensions" have been changed (see 6.6, 7.6 in the 2010 version);
i) The "Installation strength check of appliance main unit and face mask" has been changed (see 6.8.3, 7.8.3 in the 2010 version);
j) An "Installation Inspection" has been added (see 7.4).

1 Scope
This document specifies the appearance, performance, and installation requirements for multi-functional electrical appliances used in household and similar ceiling applications, as well as inspection rules and markings.
The contents of packaging, transportation and storage describe the test methods for appearance, performance and other aspects.
This document applies to the production, testing, and installation of multi-functional ceiling appliances (hereinafter referred to as "Appliances") for household and similar purposes.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1
It is an appliance that is installed in combination with ceiling panels and has one or more functions such as ventilation, air blowing, fresh air, drying, cooling, heating, and auxiliary lighting.
3.2 mainbody of appliance
The main body of the appliance.
Note. For detachable devices with face masks (3.3), it usually refers to the box body after the face mask is removed.
3.3 face mask
The visible surface after the appliance is installed.
Note. It has functions such as covering and protecting the main unit of the equipment.
3.4 Examples. buckle, screw
The necessary accessories for installing the multi-functional electrical appliance (3.1) for ceiling use.
3.5 Mounting base
The load-bearing surface of the multi-functional electrical appliance (3.1) used for supporting and fixing the ceiling.
Note. The installation surface generally refers to the top and wall surfaces of a building.
3.6 professional installer
Possessing basic knowledge and operational skills, and having passed professional training, authorized to perform ceiling-mounted multi-functional electrical installations in the manner specified by the manufacturer.
Technicians responsible for equipment installation.
3.7 User
Individuals, families, or social groups who use ceiling-mounted multi-functional appliances and receive installation services for ceiling-mounted multi-functional appliances.
4 Technical Requirements
4.1 General Requirements
4.1.1 The safety of the appliance shall comply with the provisions of the relevant mandatory national standards. For multifunctional products, each functional module shall comply with the corresponding standards.
If applicable, national standards require consideration of the impact of one function on other functions.
4.1.2 The installation accessories of the appliance shall comply with the relevant national standards, and its vulnerable parts shall be easy to replace.
4.2 Appearance Requirements
4.2.1 The metal parts of the appliance shall be treated with anti-rust treatment, such as electroplating, painting, enamel, or other effective anti-rust treatments.
Treatment methods. Metal parts on utensils should have a smooth, fine surface, uniform color, and should not have peeling, exposed substrate, pinholes, bubbles, obvious spots, or other defects.
It should be free from defects such as scratches and should be corrosion-resistant. After salt spray testing, no rust spots larger than 1 mm2 should appear on its main surface.
4.2.2 The coating layer on painted or plastic-coated parts of the equipment should have strong adhesion and be firmly bonded, without obvious bubbles, runs, missed areas, or primer defects.
Exposed areas, wrinkles, cracks, and other defects.
4.2.3 The surface of plastic parts on the appliance should be flat and smooth, with uniform color, and free from defects such as cracks, bubbles, and shrinkage cavities.
4.3 Performance Requirements
The performance of the appliances should meet the applicable requirements of relevant national or industry standards.
