YY 0154-2013 is the English-translated version of 压力蒸汽灭菌设备用弹簧全启式安全阀.

YY 0154-2013 is the Chinese pharmaceutical industry standard for the spring full lift safety valve fitted to a pressure steam sterilizer.

It specifies the terms and definitions, the classification and marking, the requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules, the marking and instruction manual and the rules for packaging, transport, storage and delivery, covering the set pressure and the tolerance on it, the lift and the discharge capacity, the tightness before opening and the resealing, and the materials.

It applies to valves with a set pressure below 0.4 MPa and a nominal diameter of 8 mm or more. Issued on 21 October 2013, it has applied since 1 October 2014.

Foreword

This standard was drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules. The full text of this standard is mandatory.

This standard replaces YY 0154-2005 "pressure steam sterilization equipment with a spring safety valve." This standard compared with YY 0154-2005, the main changes are as follows.

--- The name was changed to "pressure steam sterilization equipment with a spring safety valve";

--- Original standard Chapter 1 "Scope" was amended;

--- Complements Chapter 3, "Terms and Definitions" chapter;

--- Original standard Chapters 4 and 5 of chapter "Requirements" and "test method" was revised.

1 Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions pressure steam sterilization equipment with a spring safety valve, classification and marking, requirements, test methods, Inspection rules, marking and instruction manual and packaging, transportation, storage and delivery.

This standard applies to the setting pressure is less than 0.4MPa, nominal diameter greater than or equal to 8mm pressure steam sterilization equipment spring Safety valve (hereinafter referred to as a "safety valve"). The safety valve for the design pressure is less than 0.4MPa, the sterilization temperature at 115 °C ~ Pressure in the range of 150 °C steam sterilization equipment.

3 Terms and Definitions

GB/T 12241-2005 define the following terms and definitions apply to this document.

3.1 Safety valve fullift

Valve opening height is equal to or greater than the valve seat throat diameter 1/4.

4 Classification and marking

4.1 Classification

Safety valve according to the structure is divided into type I, II type, see Appendix A.

NOTE: each type of structure is not unique, just to achieve the same result, but also use other forms of construction.

4.2 Mark

Valve models and symbols prescribed JB/T 308, and adds the letter "Y" stands for "Medical Device Class" in front of the code.
