Foreword

SN/T 1688 "Importers motor vehicle inspection procedures" is divided into six sections.

--- Part 5. electric motorcycles and electric mopeds;

--- Part 6. engine.

This section SN/T 1688 Part 4.

This section drafted in accordance with GB/T 1.1-2009 given rules.

This section replaces the SN/T 1688.3-2005 "import and export inspection of motor vehicles - Part 3. farm vehicles" and SN/T 1688.4-2006 "import and export inspection of motor vehicles - Part 4. automotive products." this section compared with the SN/T 1688.3-2005 and SN/T 1688.4-2006, the main technical changes are as follows.

--- Modify the scope of Chapter 1 (see Chapter 1), the three-wheeled vehicles (the original "three farm vehicles") and low-speed vehicles (formerly "Four Wheel farm vehicles ") included automotive products;

--- Modify the sampling standards to GB/T 2828.11-2008 replaced defunct GB 15482-1995;

--- Modified "car flag" content, an increase of modified cars signage provisions (see table paragraph 1 A.1, paragraph 2), and dangerous goods Truck, three cars, low-speed vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles marking requirements (see Table A.1, paragraph 1, paragraph 4 to 7);

--- Increased three-wheeled vehicles and low-speed vehicles outside dimensions, axle load, the quality requirements of the steering apparatus, external lighting and signaling devices (see

Table A.1, paragraph 2, paragraph 2, item 3, paragraph 8, item 5, paragraph 3);

--- Increased reversible cab safety requirements (see paragraph 8 A.1, paragraph 8);

1 Scope

SN/T 1688 provisions of this part of the import and export automotive products, technical requirements, test methods, sampling and qualified judgment.

This section applies to be driven by power, having four or more wheels of vehicles carrying non-rail, mainly used for.

--- Carrying passengers and/or cargo (goods);

--- Towing vehicles to transport goods (goods) or special purpose vehicle;

--- Special operations.
