QC/T 863-2011 is the English-translated version of 焊接方螺母.

Square weld nuts for motor vehicles are the subject of QC/T 863-2011, a recommended standard of the Chinese automotive industry issued by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

It fixes the type, the dimensions and the technical conditions of these nuts. Coverage runs from thread size M4 to M16, together with the fine pitches M10 x 1.25 to M16 x 1.5, for nuts used in conjunction with bolts of mechanical property class 8.8.

The text is a modified adoption of DIN 928-2000 and is read alongside GB/T 90.1, GB/T 90.2, GB/T 196, GB/T 197, GB/T 3098.2, GB/T 3103.1, GB/T 5779.2, QC/T 326 and QC/T 625. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
