QC/T 872-2011 is the English-translated version of 焊接六角凸缘螺母.

QC/T 872-2011 is the recommended Chinese automotive standard for hexagon flange weld nuts. It describes the types and sizes of the nut and the technical conditions that apply to them.

It covers nuts in thread sizes M5 to M16 and in the fine pitch range M10 x 1.25 to M16 x 1.5, used with bolts of mechanical property class 10.9 and below on motor vehicles.

The standard is a modified adoption of ISO 21670:2003 and carries the classification T31 with the international classification 43.040. It cites GB/T 90.1, GB/T 90.2, GB/T 196, GB/T 197, GB/T 3098.2, GB/T 3103.1, GB/T 5779.2, QC/T 326 and QC/T 625. Issued on 20 December 2011, it has applied since 1 July 2012.
