QC/T 769-2006 is the English-translated version of 汽车燃气加热器.

QC/T 769-2006 is the Chinese automotive industry standard for gas fired heaters fitted to vehicles, chiefly passenger cars, running on natural gas or liquefied petroleum gas.

It gives the terms and definitions for the heater, its classification and model designation, the technical requirements, the test methods, the inspection rules and the provisions for product identification and packaging.

It applies to car heaters fuelled by natural gas or LPG, and heaters burning gas on other vehicles may be dealt with by reference to it. A non-equivalent adoption of BS EN 624:2000, it quotes GB 9969.1, GB/T 13611, GB 18047, GB 19159, JB/T 8127.3-1995, QC/T 324-2000, QC/T 413-2002, QC/T 484, QC/T 625 and QC/T 671 to QC/T 674. Issued on 17 December 2006, it has applied since 1 May 2007.
