Scope

QC/T 1159-2022 is the English-translated version of 汽车行业绿色供应链管理评价规范.

QC/T 1159-2022 covers the evaluation of green supply chain management in the automobile industry and gives its evaluation requirements, evaluation methods and calculation method.

It applies to vehicle and parts manufacturers, others may use it as a reference, and its terms build on GB/T 33635-2017.

The basic requirements ask that the company has had no major safety, environmental or quality accident in the past 3 years and declares this itself, publishes its environmental commitments, keeps pollutant discharge within national and local limits, runs environmental, energy, quality and occupational health and safety management systems to the cited standards, operates a supplier management system covering green certification, selection, audit, performance and exit, and pursues stated green supply chain objectives and plans.

The indicators cover management strategy, green production, recycling and information disclosure.

Green production asks for green design process documents on lightweighting, ease of disassembly and recycling and modular design, work on intelligent manufacturing, hazardous substances to GB/T 30512, cabin air quality to GB/T 27630, clean production review filings, recycled raw materials and green logistics plans.

Recycling asks for a packaging material recycling ratio of 80% or more, recycling outlets in the sales area for scrapped vehicles and retired traction batteries, dismantling manuals to GB/T 33460 and remanufacturing research.

Disclosure covers energy and emission data, the share of green suppliers and a corporate social responsibility report. Assessment follows normative Appendix B, indicators are calculated by normative Appendix A, and the index IAGSCM is reported to one figure after the decimal point.
