Scope

GB/T 43903-2024 is the English-translated version of 绿色制造 制造企业绿色供应链管理 信息追溯及披露要求.

GB/T 43903-2024 deals with the evidence behind a green supply chain claim. A manufacturer's environmental footprint is mostly not its own: it sits in the materials and components it buys, from suppliers it does not control, who buy in turn from suppliers it cannot see. Claims about that footprint are therefore assertions about other people's operations, and they are made routinely - in customer requirements, in procurement conditions, and increasingly in disclosures that carry legal weight. What is usually missing is the traceability underneath: which supplier, which batch, what was actually measured rather than estimated from an industry average, and how far up the chain the information genuinely reaches. This document specifies the overall requirements for green information traceability and disclosure in the green supply chain management of manufacturing enterprises, together with the specific traceability requirements and the disclosure requirements. Separating the two is the useful part: what a company can trace and what it chooses to publish are different questions, and a disclosure is only as good as the traceability behind it. Under ICS 13.020.99 and CCS Z04, it is written for manufacturers, their procurement functions, and the auditors and customers assessing the claims.
