Scope
NB/T 42052-2015 is the English-translated version of 小水电机组启动试验规程.
The start-up trial of a small hydropower unit is governed by NB/T 42052-2015, a recommended standard of the Chinese energy industry.
It sets out the test procedures and requirements for the start-up trial operation of the unit, turbine and generator together, and of its ancillary equipment: the turbine inlet valve, the turbine control system, the excitation system and the monitoring, protection and DC power systems.
The specification applies to units of 0.5 MW up to but not including 15 MW, with Francis, axial-flow or impulse turbines of rotor diameter below 3.3 m driving three-phase salient-pole synchronous generators.
Units below 0.5 MW may follow it as a reference. It is applied with GB/T 7409.3, GB/T 9652.1, GB/T 9652.2 and DL/T 507. Issued on 2 April 2015, it has applied since 1 September 2015.
