NB/T 35089-2016 is the recommended Chinese energy industry standard for the cylindrical valve, also called the ring gate, fitted to hydraulic turbines. It lays down the performance guarantees required of the valve, its technical requirements and its test requirements, and it sets the rules to be followed in packaging, transport and storage.

Large valves are its main field; smaller cylindrical valves may be handled by reference to it.
