Scope
NB/T 11257-2023 is the English-translated version of 井工煤矿采掘工作面防治水安全条件评价.
NB/T 11257-2023 is the Chinese energy industry standard for judging, before extraction starts, whether a coal mining face or a heading face in an underground coal mine is safe from water inrush.
It sets general requirements for the assessment, including its objective and the basic data to gather: hydrogeological type reports, water hazard risk assessments, surveys of hidden geological hazards, geophysical prospecting results and water exploration and drainage designs.
Separate clauses then list the conditions to check item by item for longwall coal faces and for development headings, with informative evaluation forms for each.
Any condition not met must be corrected and the face reassessed before production. Issued on 26 May 2023, it has applied since 26 November 2023.

3 Terms and definitions
The terms and definitions defined in GB/T 15663 (all parts) and the following apply to this document.
3.1 Safety conditions assessment of water prevention and control for mining face
Before mining activities, by analyzing and evaluating the hydrogeological conditions, water filling conditions and water prevention and control measures taken at the mining face.
It is a process of judging whether the safety conditions are met item by item, and finally comprehensively judging whether the mining working face meets the safety conditions.
4 General requirements for evaluation
4.1 Evaluation objectives
By evaluating the implementation of various elements and measures to prevent and control water in the mining working face, we can determine whether the mining working face can produce safely. There is one item If it does not meet the requirements, measures should be taken and re-evaluated until all conditions meet the requirements and the mining working surface can be produced safely.
4.2 Preparation for evaluation
4.2.1 Basic information
Collect mine hydrogeology type reports, various special water damage risk assessment reports, survey reports on hidden disaster-causing geological factors, and the "three water hazard prevention and control" reports. "Area" management report, mining working face geophysical prospecting results report, geological description, water exploration and release design, water exploration and release summary, past mining activity data and other basic Based on the basic data, we will comprehensively analyze and evaluate the detection, treatment, verification and evaluation of various water hazards in the mining working face.
4.2.2 Water prevention and control measures
Evaluate the pertinence, implementation and effectiveness of special water prevention and control measures for the main types of water damage in mining working surfaces.
