Scope
NB/T 10730-2021 is the English-translated version of 煤矿井下断层导水性探查与治理技术规范.
NB/T 10730-2021 sets out how to explore whether faults in underground coal mines conduct water and how to treat those that do. The exploration part covers general provisions, principles, basic data, probing methods and requirements, and criteria for judging water conductivity, with informative guidance on borehole layout and drilling parameters.
Treatment is by grouting, with rules for designing and constructing grouting holes, orifice safety devices, the grouting process, segment length, grout diffusion radius, and the final pressure and flow criteria for stopping.
A closing part covers the layout of effect inspection holes and the conditions for accepting the grouting result. Issued on 16 November 2021, it has applied since 16 February 2022.

3 Terms and Definitions
The following terms and definitions apply to this document.
3.1 Orifice safety device
It is installed at the hole of the drilled hole, connecting the grouting pipeline inside and outside the hole, the spreader, the mixer, and the sum of the devices to prevent the slurry from flowing out of the hole and backflow.
3.2 Grouting segment length
When dividing the rock formation that needs grouting into several sections and grouting in sequence, the grouting length of each section.
3.3 Grout diffusion radius
Taking the grouting hole as the center, the radial outward diffusion of the grout meets the effective distance of grouting control.
3.4 Final grouting pressure
The pressure of the input grout at the grouting orifice at the end of the designed grouting.
3.5 Final grouting flow rate
At the end of grouting, the grouting orifice inputs the flow rate of the slurry.
4 Water conductivity exploration of underground faults in coal mines
4.1 General provisions
4.1.1 When the fault is detected in advance in the excavation face, the relevant regulations and measures shall comply with the relevant provisions of the "Detailed Rules for the Prevention and Control of Water in Coal Mine".
