JB/T 9849-2011 was issued by MIIT on 18 May 2011 and has been in force since 1 August 2011.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 9849-1999.
2 Scope
Pneumatic tampers are the subject of JB/T 9849-2011, a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard. It fixes the basic parameters of the pneumatic tamping machine along with its technical requirements, the test methods and inspection rules, and the provisions for marking, packaging, transport and storage. The standard applies to the design, manufacture, testing and use of pneumatic tamping machines driven by compressed air, which the text calls simply the product.
