JB/T 8538-2011 was issued by MIIT on 15 August 2011 and has been in force since 1 November 2011.
It replaces the earlier edition JB/T 8538-1997.
2 Scope
This standard is a recommended Chinese machinery industry standard on the screw and the barrel used in plastics machinery. It states the requirements for the screw and the barrel, the tests and test methods, the inspection rules, and the marking, packaging, transport and storage. It applies to the screws and barrels of single-screw plastics extruders and of plastics injection moulding machines. Among the standards it quotes are GB/T 11336-2004, GB/T 11354, GB 11379-2008, GB/T 18177 and JB/T 2985. It supersedes JB/T 8538-1997. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology issued it, under the Chinese classification G95 and the international classifications 71.120 and 83.200.
